Satomi Kawakita: A Designer’s Journey

  • 1997 - 1999

    Worked as an assistant at Glassblowing Studio in Osaka

  • 1999 - 2001

    Began making beaded accessories

  • 2002

    Moved to New York to attend Jewelry-making school

  • 2008

    Launched her first collection and founded Satomi Kawakita Jewelry

  • 2003 - 2010

    Worked as a diamond setter in New York’s Jewelry District

    Opened her very first studio in Union Square, New York

    Began building her showroom in Tribeca, New York

    Officially opened the Tribeca Showroom
